Forklift Operator

Job Description --------------- **Position Title:** Forklift Operator  **Position Reports To:** Field Foreman  **Position Summary**  A Forklift Operator shall perform general site work such as loading and unloading equipment and materials, site clean-up and preparation, mobilization, and demobilization to and from the jobsite, and general construction tasks.  **Essential Functions**  * Follow verbal directions as required to perform duties and responsibilities as listed below.    * Heavy lifting will often be required to perform tasks.    * Clean-up of work area, supplies, materials, and equipment.   * Communicate regularly with the Field Foreman with regard to issues and concerns on the job site.   * Comply with all Apache and client safety policies and programs.   * Maintain a reliable attendance record  * Always maintains a clean and safe work environment  * Work unsupervised in an efficient and effective manner.  * Other duties as assigned.  **Education & Experience**  * Valid certification to operate forklifts  * Minimum 0-1 years of experience as forklift operator or similar role  **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**  * Unload and upload material  * Good knowledge of industrial equipment  * Identify damages  * Report shortages  * Report quality deficiencies  * Transport raw materials to production workstations  * Inspect machinery  * Determine the need for repairs  * Keep updated records of inventory  * Produce activity logs  * Comply with company policies and guidelines  **Work Conditions/Physical Demands**  * Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.    * Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.   * No adverse environmental conditions expected.  * Must be able to work in high noise volumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, dusty conditions, hazardous machinery, precarious places, proximity to other employees.  * Background Check Requirement  **Drug Program**  All employees at made aware that Apache has a comprehensive drug/ alcohol policy and program in place, which includes random testing
