**Job Title:**
Full Time Licensed Vocation Nurse / Licensed Psychiatric Technician
**Division/Program:**
(Adult Inpatient) Crisis Residential Unit
**Starting Compensation:**
32.00 - 34.00 USD Per Hour
**Working Location:**
Merced, CA
**Working Hours/Shift:**
Thursday, Friday and Saturday 6AM to 630PM

**What you bring:**
**Licensure:**
* A valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license is required.
**Education:**
* High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED, HiSET) is required; an associate degree in nursing or a social science field is preferred
**Experience:**
* At least one (1) year of nursing experience is required, preferably treating individuals with mental illness in an inpatient setting. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for a portion of this experience.)
* One (1) year of experience with medication administration is preferred.
**How you will make a difference**
* Provides direct nursing care and supervises same provided by all nursing staff on the shift worked.
* Visually and audibly observes, documents in writing, and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition to the Program Manager and the attending physician or nurse practitioner.
* Orders, prepares, administers, and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physicians’ or nurse practitioners’ orders. Confirms delivery of all ordered medication from pharmacy on shift worked.
* Responsible for writing a weekly summary on clients as assigned.
* Monitors and maintains appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for shift worked.
* Prepares, presents, and coordinates or supervises a verbal or written change of shift report.
**Division/Program Overview:**
* 24/7 inpatient voluntary program
* 16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59)
* Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
* Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
* Medication evaluation and support services
