This position plays a critical role in protecting Defence personnel, assets, and infrastructure through proactive patrols, access management, and strong on - site presence. You’ll operate in a complex and sensitive environment where professionalism, discretion, and situational awareness are essential. This isn’t your average security post - working on a Defence site means operating to a higher standard, where your professionalism and discretion have a direct impact on national operations.   **About you:** * **Australian Citizenship** - required for Defence Security Clearance eligibility * A current **Security Licence** valid in NSW * Baseline Defence Clearance or must be willing to obtain a Baseline Clearance * Excellent **communication skills** and the ability to interact confidently with Defence personnel and site stakeholders * The ability to **remain calm under pressure** and make sound decisions * A strong sense of **integrity**, **accountability**, and **attention to detail** **Duties**: * **Access Control** - Monitoring entry and exit points to ensure only authorised personnel are permitted on site. * **Foot Patrols** - Conducting regular patrols to maintain situational awareness and deter potential threats. * **Stakeholder Liaison** - Building rapport with Defence personnel, contractors, and visitors while delivering a strong security presence. * **Incident Response** - Reacting promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious behaviour. * **Compliance Monitoring** - Ensuring site protocols and Defence security procedures are always followed. * **Reporting & Documentation** - Accurately recording incidents, shift activities and observations in accordance with site requirements.   Veterans encouraged to apply.   Master License Number: 408742075 **How to apply** ---------------- MSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of each person We encourage and celebrate diversity.
