Preference will be given to individuals who are_** **_qualified to hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). This is a shift position with the majority_** **_of the work to be performed on the night (2nd) shift. Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m._** **_The individual will be required to supply their own hand tools._** **_The individual will be required to work emergency and plan over time to support the 24/7 nature of_** **_the utility business._** **_POSITION DESCRIPTION:_** **_Under general supervision, individual performs various kinds of skilled and unskilled workers in_** **_connection with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of automotive and mobile or stationary,_** **_heavy-duty equipment, including any associated components and equipment. Must have a working_** **_knowledge of the operation and construction of internal combustion engines and hydraulic_** **_assemblies. Must have the ability to diagnose operating deficiencies of automotive and hydraulic_** **_equipment and the mechanical ability to install new and maintain equipment for all types of_** **_work-related to the Transportation Department.
