Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You’ll Be Doing** * Perform general duties in support of mining operations including clean up of material spills and housekeeping in all areas of the mine to company standards. * Train to safely support other mine team members, including mechanics, crusher operators, rail loaders and mine equipment operators in all areas of the mine. * Safely operate small equipment, rigid frame haul trucks, articulated haul trucks, wheel loaders, and underground scoop trams. * Safely follow all standard procedures including vehicle equipment inspections, reporting of deficiencies, fueling, greasing of equipment, vehicle segregation and traffic controls. **What Are We Looking For** * Underground mining experience is an asset. * Heavy Equipment or Haul Truck experience in a mine site (certification is an asset, but not required – we certify onsite) * Mechanical aptitude and equipment awareness is an asset. * The successful candidate will have a proven safety record as well as a history of being a team player and communicating effectively. **Conditions of Employment** * Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check. * Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
