**Job Description:**
### Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive inpatient and perioperative care in collaboration with Gastroenterology and Orthopedic Surgery physicians.
* Perform daily hospital rounds and evaluate patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
* Conduct orthopedic consultations and comprehensive preoperative assessments for surgical candidates.
* Obtain and document patient histories, physical examinations, and clinical evaluations.
* Review laboratory results, diagnostic studies, imaging, and other pertinent clinical information to develop appropriate treatment plans.
* Assist in the medical optimization and preparation of patients prior to orthopedic surgery.
* Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care, facilitate treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care.
* Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical expectations, recovery plans, and disease management.
* Participate in discharge planning, follow-up care, and transitions of care as appropriate.
* Communicate effectively with consulting providers, hospital staff, and ancillary services to support high-quality patient outcomes.
* Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record.
* Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to established clinical protocols and best practices.
* Participate in call coverage and other clinical responsibilities as assigned by the practice.
Qualifications
--------------
* Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
* Florida APRN or PA-C license or eligibility to obtain.
* National certification required.
* Previous inpatient experience preferred.
* Gastroenterology or hospital-based APP experience preferred.

**Pay Range:**
$91,313.86 - $169,845.73
