Head of Apac Equities Cash Rtb Support

**Job Description** =================== The APAC Equities Cash RTB team manages and supports the production environment for Barclays Capital's fast-growing Cash business. This is a senior hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining stability, resilience, and operational excellence of the Cash technology estate. The successful candidate will lead the regional RTB team, drive AI-enabled operational improvements, provide exceptional business support, build trusted relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders. This is **not** a traditional Production Support Manager role to solve only for day to day operations, but a role that will uplift the stability and client / user experience of the platforms.  The ideal candidate will be a strong people leader and business partner capable of owning the platform end-to-end with limited management oversight while developing future talent and driving continuous improvement. The role supports the full front-to-back trade lifecycle across High Touch, Electronic Trading, Program Trading desks and that of Delta 1 & Prime desks that uses the platforms. Responsibilities span Order / Execution Management, Client Connectivity, Exchange Connectivity, Algorithmic Trading, Market Access and Risk Management platforms. Key Accountabilities  --------------------- **Innovation, Production Stability & Operational Excellence** * Lead day-to-day operations of the APAC Equities Cash production environment. * Ensure stability, availability and resiliency of mission-critical trading platforms. * Drive adoption of AI-enabled solutions for automation, root cause analysis, preventive monitoring, capacity planning, and operational efficiency. * Own incident, problem, and crisis management processes. * Lead complex issue triage and coordinate resolution across technology and business teams. * Drive proactive monitoring, capacity management, automation, and service improvement initiatives. * Maintain strong operational discipline around governance, change management, and service reliability. **Leadership & Team Development** * Lead, mentor, and develop the regional Cash RTB team & collaboratively work with Pune & Global teams. * Foster a collaborative, accountable & high-performing team culture. * Develop future leaders and reduce key-person dependencies through effective succession planning and knowledge sharing. **Stakeholder Management** * Act as the primary RTB contact for desk heads, traders, sales, operations, senior business stakeholders, and technology partners. * Build trusted relationships across Front Office, Operations, BTB Development, Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and Architecture teams. * Provide clear communication and leadership during major incidents and business escalations. **Risk & Controls** * Lead support engagement for regulatory reviews, audits and control assessments. * Ensure technology risks are appropriately identified, managed and remediated. * Maintain compliance with Barclays policies, standards and enterprise risk requirements. **What Success Looks Like** Within the first 12-18 months, the successful candidate will: * Be recognized as the trusted APAC Cash technology leader. * Demonstrate strong ownership of operational stability and platform resilience. * Deliver measurable improvements in incident reduction, automation, and operational efficiency. * Build credibility with business, technology, and management stakeholders. * Develop strong leadership capability and succession coverage within the team. * Operate as an independent senior technology leader capable of owning a significant technology estate.   ### All colleagues will be expected to demonstrate the Barclays Values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence and Stewardship – our moral compass, helping us do what we believe is right. They will also be expected to demonstrate the Barclays Mindset – to Empower, Challenge and Drive – the operating manual for how we behave. **Essential Skills & Experience** * Strong experience supporting mission-critical trading platforms in a high-volume, low-latency environment. * Proven leadership experience within Markets Technology RTB / Production Support organizations. * Deep understanding of Order Management, Electronic Trading, Algorithmic Trading, Exchange Connectivity, and Client Connectivity platforms. * Strong incident management, problem management, and operational risk experience. * Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels. * Demonstrated success leading and developing technical teams. * Strong understanding of Unix/Linux, databases, networking, and infrastructure fundamentals. * Experience with FIX protocol, exchange connectivity, and client connectivity technologies. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience supporting Equities Electronic Trading platforms. * Software development, scripting, automation, or engineering experience. * Experience leveraging AI and automation technologies within production support environments. * Familiarity with cloud technologies, observability platforms, and modern operational tooling. * Experience working within a global Markets Technology organization.
