Blending strong commercial acumen with data-driven insights, you will develop unified distribution strategies across social media, podcasts, and video that drive revenue while protecting and growing our core subscription base.
Collaborating closely with editorial, sales, and strategy teams, you will champion operational efficiency and maximise the commercial potential of our content across the media landscape.
This is a 12-month contract opportunity.
****Day to day you will:****
* Develop and deliver a unified, data-driven distribution strategy across social media, podcasts, and video tailored to our distinct publishing brands.
* Identify and capitalise on high-value monetisation opportunities across off-platform channels in close partnership with editorial and sales teams.
* Implement process and workflow improvements to make social content production and distribution significantly more efficient across newsrooms.
* Ensure all off-platform initiatives complement, protect, and drive audience growth back to our core paywalled product suite.
* Track, report, and evaluate metrics to build compelling business cases, refine strategies, and continuously improve overall ROI.
* Work closely with the broader Strategy & Business team and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with group goals.
****What you'll bring:****
* Demonstrated success in leading off-platform distribution and monetisation strategies in a media or digital environment.
* Expertise in partnering with sales and editorial teams to generate revenue while maintaining a deep understanding of paywall and subscription models.
* Exceptional data analysis skills with a proven track record of converting audience metrics into actionable strategic growth.
* Demonstrated ability to optimise content production processes to increase efficiency across matrixed teams.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to align diverse, cross-functional teams and drive complex initiatives forward.
* A proactive approach to adopting emerging technology, new media formats, and evolving distribution trends.
