Job Description
The Health and Safety Engineer at Nawy Real Estate is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment across all company projects and operations. This role involves identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with regulatory requirements.
* Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites and facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
* Perform risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate identified safety risks.
* Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Provide health and safety training and awareness programs to employees, subcontractors, and site personnel.
* Monitor adherence to safety regulations and conduct periodic reviews to update safety management systems.
* Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
* Stay updated with industry safety standards, laws, and best practices to enhance the companyโs safety culture.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in health and safety engineering, preferably within construction or real estate development.
* Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations and standards.
* Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
* Excellent risk assessment and incident investigation skills.
* Effective communication and training skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
