What You Will Do: As a Working Lead - Heat Treat at RTX Corporation, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the heat treat operations to ensure quality and efficiency. You will lead a team, manage daily tasks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor. Your role is critical in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity in heat treat processes. Assign work to ensure production meets business need Ensure team members have the skills, tools and materials needed to complete assigned tasks Monitor availability of WIP (Work in Progress) Set plan for next job run Participate in proper cell set up Audit operator performance for adherence to standard work and productivity to goals Attend and support production meetings: Provide status updates on critical production items and update leadership and upstream production teams of obstacles or delays in production Update metric boards and track daily output to goals Confirm employee readiness through training Share performance feedback with Cell Supervisor Perform EH&S inspections Conduct daily and strategic preventative maintenance Spot check calibration, and audit work of operators Conduct employee communication and engagement Provide performance feedback (coaching) to employees Work process improvements Assist with RCCA (root cause corrective action) and problem solving Conduct cross-functional problem solving Explain advanced functioning Mitigate part issues Report quality issues to the appropriate stakeholder and provide support as needed Manage/support gage calibration and ensure test pieces are checked Equipment operation Qualifications You Must Have: HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience Successful candidate is expected to work in a team-based environment and understand the expectation is become multi-skilled on various operations as well as to be a leader who works the various operations. Must be able to multitask and work overtime as needed.
