**Rogue Disposal** is looking for an experienced and reliable **Diesel Mechanic** to join our team in **White City, OR**, just outside **Medford**. This is a great opportunity for mechanics seeking steady, long-term employment with competitive pay and great benefits.

**Scheduled Work Week: Monday – Friday.**
* **Monday–Thursday:** 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
* **Friday:** 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM

**Starting pay is $29-$31/hr DOE.**
**Guaranteed Overtime:** Time and a half after 40 hours a week!

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines
* Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes along with minor and major repairs from A/C, hydraulics, electrical, welding, engine replacement, transmissions, etc.
* Interprets diagnostic test results accurately
* Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans in our system
* Collaborates with other diesel mechanics
* Completes test drives to make sure the vehicle runs correctly
* Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely
* Communicate with drivers for issues in morning and afternoon
* Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
* Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards
* Follows all Waste Connections repair shop regulations and standards

**REQUIREMENTS:**
* **Valid Driver’s License** with a **clean driving record (Required)**
* **Experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair**
* Provide personal tools.
* Class B CDL **OR the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment if required.**
* Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.
* Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information in English.

**WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:**
* Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
* Back, leg, arm and shoulder strength required to safely climb in, on and around vehicles to inspect and repair.
* Ability to work in awkward, tight, or restricted spaces for extended periods of time; Requires the ability to sit, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, and be able to get up and down from a supine position.
* Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts which require following basic safety precautions.
* The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
