Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 6 months.** **What You'll Be Doing** * Safely operate a variety of heavy and fixed plant equipment to support daily aggregate production * Conduct pre-operational inspections and routine equipment checks to ensure safe, reliable performance * Monitor material flow, production quality, and operating conditions, making adjustments as needed * Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate activities and maintain efficient operations * Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety regulations and promoting a safety-first culture **What Are We Looking For** * Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in a mining environment * Strong knowledge of safety procedures with high situational awareness * Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues * Reliable and collaborative approach with clear and effective communication skills * Ability to follow operational procedures, adapt to changing priorities, and familiarity with MSHA regulations, with Part 46 training considered an asset **Conditions of Employment** * Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check * Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing * Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
