**Role Overview**
As part of JBT Marel’s growth process, we are seeking an **HSE Specialist** based in Valinhos or Campinas - SP. The successful candidate will be responsible for the local execution of Health and Safety (HSE) programs. This role plays a fundamental part in the implementation and continuous monitoring of our Global Safety Policy and Standards.
**Responsibilities**
* **Field Safety Audits:** Conduct technical visits to customer factories to identify risks, propose corrective measures, and monitor the execution of field activities.
* **Operational Support:** Provide technical support to field-based operational employees, guiding them on the correct use of PPE, safety procedures, and preventive practices.
* **Compliance Management:** Evaluate customer safety requirements in advance and ensure teams comply with all legal and contractual demands.
* **Risk Assessment:** Develop and review Preliminary Risk Analyses (PRA/APR) and Special Work Permits, adapting documentation to the specific reality of each external environment.
* **Training & Integration:** Monitor and validate mandatory training, safety integrations, and documentation updates for employees assigned to external service.
* **Critical Activity Oversight:** Ensure teams are trained and properly equipped to perform critical tasks, such as working at heights, confined spaces, and machinery operation.
* **Safety Culture:** Promote awareness, education, and guidance actions to prevent accidents and occupational diseases systematically, encouraging a proactive prevention mindset.
* **Safety Campaigns:** Launch specific safety campaigns tailored to client environments, aligning the company's safety culture with the contractor's requirements.
* **Incident Investigation:** Investigate field incidents and accidents, issuing technical reports and proposing corrective action plans.
* **Strategic Meetings:** Participate in occupational safety meetings, providing data, suggesting improvements, and analyzing the feasibility of proposed safety measures.
* **Continuous Improvement:** Support the operations department in developing corrective action plans and implementing continuous safety improvements.
* **Stakeholder Communication:** Maintain active communication with customers' HSE teams, participating in meetings and technical alignments as necessary.
* **KPI Monitoring:** Feed and monitor process indicators (KPIs) for the area, analyzing data to generate preventive/corrective action plans and periodic reports.
* **Internal Support:** Support all activities carried out at the company’s internal units whenever necessary.
**Requirements & Qualifications**
* **Education:** Degree in Engineering (preferably Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical) with a **mandatory** post-graduate degree in Occupational Safety Engineering.
* **Experience:** Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial plants, or similar sectors is preferred.
* **Soft Skills:** Strong time management, priority setting, planning, communication, and organizational skills.
* **Influence:** Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both senior leadership and operational levels internally and externally.
* **Technical Tools:** Proficiency in Information Systems (HSE software/Office Suite).
* **Language:** **Advanced English** (required for global reporting and policy alignment). **Spanish** desirable.
