Hydraulic Technician - Gir Del **Status:** Regular, Full time **Location:** Edmonton, Alberta **Job Description** =================== The **GIR DEL** Business Centre is the largest full service mobile hydraulic facility in Western Canada. The Centre provides the highest level of knowledgeable customer service for over 40 years. We are a Division of Guillevin International Co. A GREAT PLACE TO WORK - CERTIFIED. _We are open to out of province applicants and will consider moving expenses for the right candidate._ **Duties:** * Under general supervision, performs preventive/predictive inspections, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs to but not limited to; Tear down, repair and reassembly of components, inspection for corrosion wear and pitting, testing to various makes of components such as: Parker, Danfoss, Rexroth, Komatsu, Caterpillar as well as other manufacturer's hydraulic pumps, motors, valves and other equipment. * Performs basic troubleshooting on some mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. * This role is responsible for following specific and detailed work processes within the Gir Del’s processes during daily job activities. * Assists with documentation that is produced during their daily responsibilities. * Ensures duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. * Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed. * Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations. * Maintains workspace in an orderly manner and other duties as assigned. * Fully participate and comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety regulations * Ensure compliance in respective areas of control with all QHSE Management System requirements, policies and procedures * Ensure product quality, workmanship and conformance to all applicable processes, requirements, and regulatory standards in accordance with the established quality assurance system * Be a proactive team member and identify particular needs for product lines and/or processes * Other duties as required * Potential for advancement to management **Qualifications/requirements:** * A high school diploma or equivalent is required. * Three years or more of experience in hydraulic component repair operations * Have a valid driver’s license * Ability to read and follow instructions, analyze, and interpret working drawings, technical specifications, etc. * Must be mechanically inclined * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds * Experience with overhead lifting equipment * Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the country in which the position is located * Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision **Schedule:** * 8 hour day shift * Monday to Friday * Some evenings, weekends, and on-call, as required * Overtime as required. **What’s in it for you** ======================== We are a major player, involved in the energy transformation in Canada.
