**General Description:**
While enrolled in school, the Imaging Student performs imaging/radiologic services within the student scope of practice. This position provides students the opportunity to work in real-life situations while earning their degree.
**Essential Responsibilities:**

* Under direct supervision from a preceptor, provider or instructor, gains exposure to multiple disciplines within Imaging such as x-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound and fluoroscopy.
* Assists in performing diagnostic imaging services using techniques learned in school and within imaging department.
* Prepares patients for testing with an emphasis on providing excellent patient experiences.
* Ensures that equipment and testing spaces are clean, welcoming and free of clutter.
* Learns how to transfer images and data to the appropriate electronic health system.
* Assists with performing quality control checks, cleaning and disinfecting equipment per manufacturer standards.
**General Responsibilities:**
* Performs other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
**Education:** Currently enrolled in an accredited imaging/radiology degree program as defined by ARDMS, ARRT, NMTCB and/or CCI.
**Experience:** No experience required.
**License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:** Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required at hire.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
* Entry level knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
* Entry level knowledge of imaging/radiology diagnostic procedures.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to follow HIPAA guidelines and standards.
* Ability to work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others.
* Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled.
* Ability to be sensitive to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
* Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.
