The Clinical Team Manager provides front-line leadership for assigned inpatient units operating 24/7. This role supports the Director in maintaining nursing standards, staff competency, and high-quality patient care while overseeing daily operations, staffing, patient flow, and team performance. The Clinical Team Manager promotes evidence-based practice, patient safety, employee engagement, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with the Director to achieve unit goals and organizational priorities
* Serve as a clinical resource and provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff
* Coordinate daily workflow and patient throughput to meet organizational benchmarks
* Ensure nursing care meets Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational standards
* Maintain clinical competency and provide direct patient care as needed
* Assist with staff scheduling, assignments, delegation, and supervision of RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed personnel
* Engage staff in daily operations, resource management, and performance improvement initiatives
* Promote patient experience, staff engagement, quality, safety, and core measure outcomes
* Monitor clinical outcomes and support action plans to improve and sustain performance
* Participate in multidisciplinary care conferences focused on patient- and family-centered care
* Support personnel management, including performance evaluations and corrective actions
* Promote a culture of safety, respect, inclusion, and excellent customer service
* Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, organizational policies, and professional standards
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent combination of an ADN and relevant experience
* Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience and/or demonstrated proficient to expert clinical aptitude and leadership
* Missouri nursing license as a Registered Professional Nurse
* Current certifications per department requirements
* Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
* Ability to lead groups
