This role provides support to patients, visitors, providers, and staff; coordinates communication; maintains records and data; and assists with reports, registration, supplies, and other administrative functions to support efficient department operations. Key Responsibilities * Serve as the central point of contact for patients, visitors, staff, and providers * Coordinate department communications and respond to requests in a timely, professional manner * Create, organize, and maintain confidential reports, correspondence, and other documentation * Collect and enter data and assist with developing reports and spreadsheets * Provide inpatient bedside registration and maintain patient information * Maintain administrative supplies and inventory * Answer phones, respond to call lights, and assist with customer service needs * Support department meetings, filing, and other administrative activities * Maintain an organized and efficient workstation * Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations * Promote quality improvement, patient and staff safety, cultural diversity, and excellent customer service * Maintain compliance with applicable policies, regulations, HIPAA, and organizational standards Minimum Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent GED * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Able to speak and read the English language fluently * Proficient in use of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Word and Excel Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience as a unit clerk or in a medical support role * Knowledge of medical terminology or coursework in medical terminology **If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy helping others in a fast-paced healthcare environment, we encourage you to apply today and become an important part of our team.** **This role is at the new North Kansas City Location**
