**Job Description**
**Role Overview**
We are seeking a motivated intern to support initiatives in system modernization, GenAI adoption, and application transformation. This role will involve working on host-based systems, exploring code translation, improving batch processing visibility, and assisting in containerization and microservices enablement.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1\. GenAI Enablement for Host Systems**
* Support onboarding of **Host systems into CodeVision**.
* Leverage **GenAI tools** to analyze application codebases.
* Assist in breaking down legacy applications into:
* Features
* Functional capabilities
* System dependencies
**2\. Code Translation Proof-of-Concept (POC)**
* Participate in a **POC to translate selected legacy features (1–2)** into modern programming languages (e.g., Java).
* Support analysis of:
* Translation feasibility
* Code complexity
* Potential migration challenges
* Document findings and recommendations.
**3\. Containerization & Microservices Exploration**
* Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to:
* Explore **application containerization strategies**
* Assist in **configuring applications to run in container environments (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes)**
* Contribute to a **POC for enabling microservices architecture**, including:
* Decomposition of applications
* Basic service design and integration
**4\. Batch Processing Analysis & Simulation**
* Work on **signature / payment systems**, which are batch-intensive.
* Develop **Python programs** to:
* Analyze batch job interfaces and dependencies
* Map data flows across batch processes
* Explore usage of **GenAI to simulate batch jobs**, with the goal of:
* Improving test coverage
* Enabling better validation of batch scenarios
**Requirements**
**Technical Skills**
* Basic knowledge of:
* Python (required)
* Java or any modern programming language (preferred)
* Familiarity with:
* APIs, batch processing, and system integration concepts
* Exposure to:
* Containers (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous
* GenAI tools / LLMs is a plus
**Other Skills**
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to understand and break down complex systems
* Good documentation and communication skills
* Willingness to learn new technologies in AI and modern architecture
