This internship is a great opportunity to learn how Finance operates in a multinational organization, support budgeting and forecasting processes, assist with financial reporting and accounting tasks, and contribute to digital transformation initiatives. A strong focus of this role will be on improving Finance processes and tools through data analytics, automation, AI-enabled solutions, and Power BI dashboard creation and maintenance. **What You’ll Do:** * Support the Finance team in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis activities. * Assist in preparing standard and ad hoc financial reports, presentations, and management summaries. * Support monthly closing activities, accounting documentation, reconciliations, and data accuracy checks. * Execution, monitoring, and documentation of key accounting and financial controls. * Monitor Accounts Payable open items, identify and escalate aging or delayed transactions, and coordinate with local stakeholders and BSC teams to investigate, resolve, and prevent processing issues. * Help collect, consolidate, and validate financial data from different systems and stakeholders. * Support the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reporting tools. * Use digital and AI-enabled tools to identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, and efficiency improvement. * Participate in Finance transformation and continuous improvement projects. * Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, Finance Business Partners, and other stakeholders across the organization. **You should apply if you have:** * Student status or recent graduate status in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. * Basic understanding of financial, accounting, and business concepts. * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. * Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. * Interest in digital tools, data analytics, automation, and AI solutions. * Good communication skills and willingness to work with different stakeholders. * Ability to manage tasks independently, meet deadlines, and learn quickly. * Very good command of English and fluent Polish. **We encourage you to apply, especially if you have:** * Experience or strong interest in Power BI dashboard creation and maintenance. * Knowledge of Power Query, Power Pivot, Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, Python, or similar tools. * Practical experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or other productivity and automation solutions. * Interest in Finance process improvement, digital transformation, and reporting automation. * Experience working with data visualization, dashboards, or large datasets through university projects, internships, or personal initiatives. * Curiosity, proactive mindset, and willingness to bring fresh ideas to improve the way Finance works. **Required Skills:** Data Analysis, Database Management, Data Science, Data Security, Data Visualization, Detail-Oriented, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) **Preferred Skills:** Current Employees apply [HERE](https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$6687.htmld) Current Contingent Workers apply [HERE](https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$4020.htmld) **Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully**  Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
