With 2200+ employees and continued investments over 25 years in India, ZEISS’ success story in India is continuing at a rapid pace.  Further information at [ZEISS India](https://www.zeiss.co.in/corporate/home.html). **Job Title:** IT Analyst **Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled  **IT Infrastructure Support Engineer** with excellent communication skills, basic knowledge of passive and active networking, and foundational understanding of ESXi servers and Windows operating systems. The ideal candidate will handle first-level IT infrastructure support and ensure the smooth functioning of IT systems while escalating complex issues to higher support tiers. **Key Responsibilities:** **Incident and Request Management: ITSM** * Respond to and resolve technical support tickets promptly, ensuring proper categorization and documentation. * Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams when necessary. **Networking Support:** * Perform basic troubleshooting of passive networking components (cables, patch panels) and active networking devices (switches, routers, access points). * Diagnose connectivity issues and escalate more complex network problems. **System and Server Support:** * Assist with the basic setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of ESXi servers and Windows-based systems. * Support virtualization tasks, including server reboots and verifying VM health. **Hardware and Software Support:** * Provide first-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. * Assist with software installation, updates, and licensing tasks. **Monitoring and Maintenance:** * Monitor IT infrastructure components for performance and availability issues. * Report and log identified issues to ensure proactive resolution. **End-User Support:** * Provide on-site and remote technical support to end users for hardware and software issues. * Educate users on basic troubleshooting techniques and IT best practices. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). * Basic understanding of: * Passive and active networking concepts (LAN/WAN, switches, routers). * ESXi server environments and virtualization basics. * Windows operating systems and troubleshooting techniques. **Skills and Competencies:** * Strong communication skills with the ability to assist users of varying technical proficiency. * Problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail. * Basic familiarity with ITSM tools ( ServiceNow). * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. **Experience:** * 2-3 years of experience in IT infrastructure support or related areas. **Job Type:** Full-Time **Additional Requirements:** * Flexibility to work in shifts or on-call support, if required. * Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic IT environment.
