AINEO Networks is hiring an IT Support Specialist in Tokyo to support IP telephony, Cloud PBX, VoIP, and network infrastructure. This full-time role is for a technical support professional who can troubleshoot voice and data communication systems, work with SIP and Asterisk-based environments, and support users and customers in both English and Japanese. The role is based in Tokyo and is open to candidates who already have permission to work in Japan. AINEO welcomes IT-major fresh graduates and early-career candidates who have the right technical foundation and can learn quickly in a customer-facing support environment. **About the role** The IT Support Specialist will deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot telephony and IT systems used by AINEO customers. The work includes Cloud PBX platforms, Asterisk-based VoIP systems, SIP trunks, SIP gateways, IP phones, VMware environments, network devices, and the tools used to diagnose call-flow or voice-quality issues. This position fits someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, clear documentation, and hands-on support. The job includes both remote and onsite assistance, so communication skills matter as much as technical ability. **Main responsibilities** * Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IP telephony and Cloud PBX solutions. * Manage and support Asterisk-based VoIP systems and related telephony applications. * Configure and troubleshoot SIP trunks, SIP gateways, IP phones, and VoIP services. * Analyze SIP signaling and troubleshoot call flows using diagnostic tools. * Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and structured cabling. * Diagnose voice-quality issues such as latency, jitter, packet loss, and call-routing problems. * Deploy and manage VMware virtualized environments that support telephony and IT services. * Monitor system performance, find bottlenecks, and take corrective action. * Provide remote and onsite technical support to users and customers. * Maintain documentation for configurations, network diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures. * Work with vendors and service providers to resolve service issues. * Support system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery planning. **Who this job is for** This role is a good match for an IT support, VoIP, telecom, or network support professional who wants to work with cloud communications systems in a bilingual Tokyo office.
