Iti Trainee - Fabrication

Basic fabrication and welding, tasks while learning and gaining practical experience under the supervision of senior technicians and engineers. **Production & Fabrication Support** * Assist in operating machines such as cutting, bending, drilling, grinding, or welding equipment. * Support in metal fabrication, component preparation, and assembly activities. * Perform basic measurements using Dumply level, Laser cross liners, Theodolite, Universal fillet gauge, etc. * Prepare materials and tools required for daily production. **Quality & Safety Compliance** * Conduct basic visual inspection of fabricated parts. * Follow standard work instructions, SOPs, and quality guidelines. * Maintain 5S practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain). * Ensure compliance with safety rules—PPE usage, housekeeping, near‑miss reporting. * Assist operators/technicians in routine machine checks. * Report abnormalities, breakdown indicators, unusual noises, etc. * Fill daily production logs, checklists, and material movement slips. **Learning & Skill Development** * Attend technical training sessions, toolbox meetings, and skill assessments. * Learn fabrication processes, welding basics, machining operations, and safety standards. * Participate in Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement activities. **Required Qualifications** * ITI (Fitter / Welder / Turner / Machinist / Sheet Metal / Electrician / Fabrication or relevant trade). * Completed ITI through NCVT/SCVT. **Skills & Competencies** * Basic understanding of manufacturing processes. * Ability to read simple drawings (added advantage). * Good hands‑on practical skills. * Discipline, punctuality, and teamwork.
