**Job Description: JDE WorldSoft A7.3 – Technical Lead (10+ Years Experience)** **Position Title: JDE Technical Lead (Technical & Functional)** **Experience: 10–15 Years** **Location: Pune or Bangalore** **Employment Type: Full-time** **Role Summary** We are seeking a highly experienced **JD Edwards (JDE) WorldSoft A7.3 Professional** with deep expertise across both **technical development** and **functional consulting**. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end understanding of WorldSoft A7.3 modules, strong development skills in RPG/CL/AS400, and proven experience delivering, enhancing, and supporting JDE ERP solutions in complex business environments. **Key Responsibilities** **Functional Responsibilities** * Lead requirement gathering, fit–gap analysis, and solution design for JDE WorldSoft A7.3 modules. * Configure and support core modules such as: * **Finance (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets)** * **Procurement & Inventory** * **Manufacturing & Shop Floor** * **Sales & Distribution** * Translate business requirements into system specifications and functional designs. * Support business users during UAT, training, and deployment phases. * Troubleshoot functional issues including data setup, configuration, and process flows. * Drive process improvements, best practices, and optimization initiatives across modules. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integrations and enhancements. **Technical Responsibilities** * Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot applications using: * **RPG, RPGLE, CLLE, SQL/400** * **JDE World Writer, FASTR, DREAM Writer** * **WorldSoft file layouts, DDTT, Data Dictionary** * Perform JDE WorldSoft customizations, report modifications, and workflow enhancements. * Analyze and optimize AS/400 system performance related to JDE jobs, batch processes, and application code. * Design technical specifications and collaborate on functional–technical solution alignment. * Develop data migration scripts, interfaces, and integrations with external systems. * Conduct root-cause analysis and provide long-term resolution for technical defects. * Support upgrades, patches, and retrofits within the JDE WorldSoft ecosystem. **Required Skills & Experience** **Functional Skills** * Strong understanding of JDE WorldSoft A7.3 core modules and end-to-end business processes. * Ability to map business requirements to JDE standardized solutions. * Experience with: * Item master and inventory management * Procure-to-pay * Order-to-cash * Manufacturing execution * General ledger, accounting, and financial reporting * Expertise in configuration, table setups, and cross-module dependencies. **Technical Skills** * 10+ years hands-on experience in **AS/400, RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL/400**. * Strong command of **JDE WorldSoft A7.3 toolsets**: * World Writer, FASTR * DREAM Writer * Data Dictionary / Data Structures * Menus & security setup * Experience with EDI, APIs, and system integrations is a plus. * Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot legacy RPG code. **Soft Skills** * Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking. * Ability to lead functional & technical discussions independently. * Strong documentation and knowledge management habits. * Team player with ability to work across global teams. **Education** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
