Laborer Equipment Operator

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** * Provide general plant clean-up * Light to heavy mechanical maintenance to ensure constant production * Assist in plant maintenance when needed * Upkeep of plant and heavy equipment (broom & shovel work) * Maintain daily plant/heavy equipment operations * Operate plant equipment * Cross Trained in other jobs **What Are We Looking For** * Ability to work both 8 and 12 hour work shifts as well as weekend work when required * High School Diploma is required * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. * Capability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment. * Competency in performing physical tasks and working outdoors. * Effective communication skills and teamwork. * Commitment to safety and quality standards. **Conditions of Employment** * Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. * Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing. **Work Environment** * Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. **What We Offer** * Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension. * Union paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
