To support the mother who provides breast-feeding as infant nutritional support. Works closely with the health care team to provide multi-disciplinary services to lactating mothers and their families. Provides education toward planning, implementing and evaluating lactation needs of new parents and their families. **Education / Experience**:High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college preferred. Two years of current lactation education required **License / Certification**: IBCLC certification required, BLS required, NRP required **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**: • Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards. • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. • Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns. • Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Strong interpersonal skills. • The ability to show compassion and sensitivity for patient comfort. **Primary Location:** Baptist Medical Center South **Job:** Lactation Consultant Educator (Non-RN) Lactation Consultant Educator non RN **Job Type:** Regular-PRN **Shift**: First Shift (United States of America)
