This position provides technical guidance to Endoscopy Technicians, coordinates daily workflow, ensures adherence to infection prevention protocols, and serves as a subject matter expert in the cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of endoscopic equipment. Some of those benefits can include: \*Supportive work culture \*Medical, Vision and Dental Coverage \*Retirement Plans, Health Savings Account, and Flexible Spending Account \*Instant pay is available for qualifying positions \*Paid Time Off Accrual Bank \*Opportunities for growth and advancement \*Tuition assistance/reimbursement \*Excellent pay differentials on qualifying positions \*Flexible scheduling **Job Description** **Essential Functions:** * Serve as the primary technical resource for all endoscopic procedures, equipment, and instrumentation. * Coordinate daily assignments and activities of Endoscopy Technicians to ensure smooth and efficient operations. * Monitor compliance with reprocessing and high-level disinfection standards in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CDC, AAMI, SGNA, Joint Commission). * Collaborate with nursing leadership to optimize procedural flow and equipment availability. * Participate in onboarding and ongoing training of new and existing staff; provide coaching and technical mentorship. * Conduct routine inspections of endoscopy equipment and collaborate with Biomedical Engineering and vendors for preventive maintenance and repair. * Maintain accurate logs, inventory records, and documentation related to scope reprocessing, equipment usage, and quality assurance. * Act as a liaison between clinical staff and leadership to resolve technical or operational issues. * Assist with the development, implementation, and updating of department policies and procedures. * Remain current with industry best practices, safety standards, and advancements in endoscopy technology. * Any other duties as assigned. **Additional Requirements** **Required:** Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) - Within 60 days of hire or transfer; Certification in Flexible Endoscope Reprocessing (CFER), Sterile Processing (CRCST), or related credential required within 12 months of hire Experience - 3+ years of Endoscopy Experience **Preferred:** Experience - 3+ years of Healthcare Experience; 3+ years of Surgical Nursing Experience Education - Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician or Sterile Processing program preferred Physical Requirements: Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. **Job Category** Clinical Care **Job Family** Clinical Support **Shift** Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department **Employee Type** Regular 10 Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, Inc. **Make a difference**.  _Every day._ **Monument Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
