Lead Quality Engineer

**At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.** ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or related engineering discipline **Experience** * 10+ years in QA / software testing * Experience in PLM or materials domain preferred **Skills & Competencies** * Strong expertise in manual testing (ISTQB preferred) * Understanding of web-based application testing and CAE/FEA concepts * Exposure to automation tools (Selenium/Playwright preferred) * Working knowledge of Windows/Linux and databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) * Basic programming in Java, Python, or JavaScript * Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills **Key Responsibilities** * Own end-to-end testing for web-based engineering applications * Design and execute functional and non-functional test strategies * Perform requirement analysis, test design, execution, and defect tracking * Act as customer-facing technical lead for issue analysis and solutioning * Support and contribute to automation and AI-driven testing initiatives * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality delivery * Drive improvements in test coverage and efficiency **Preferred** * Agile/Scrum exposure * Experience with security testing and CI/CD tools **We’re doing work that matters.
