Lead SWE – Avalara E- Invoicing and Workday

**Overview** * We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer – Avalara E-Invoicing Solutions to lead the design, development, integration, and support of enterprise-wide electronic invoicing platforms. * The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Avalara E-Invoicing, Peppol, ERP integrations, middleware technologies, and global tax compliance frameworks. This role partners closely with Finance, Tax, ERP, Compliance, and Technology teams across EMEA and US regions. **What You'll Do:** Avalara E-Invoicing & Regulatory Compliance ------------------------------------------- * Design, implement, and support Avalara E-Invoicing solutions, Peppol integrations, and global electronic invoicing platforms. * Lead compliant e-invoicing deployments across multiple countries and jurisdictions. * Support EU ViDA, Peppol, KSeF, SDI, SII, and other digital reporting mandates. Integration & Solution Development ---------------------------------- * Integrate Workday Financials, Avalara E-Invoicing, tax engines, ERP platforms, and compliance systems. * Develop solutions using REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, UBL, and electronic document exchange standards. * Implement integrations using Boomi, MuleSoft, Workday Studio, Azure Integration Services, or similar technologies. Electronic Invoice Processing ----------------------------- * Design end-to-end invoice workflows including generation, validation, transmission, status tracking, and exception handling. Peppol & Digital Network Integration ------------------------------------ * Support Peppol Access Points, SMP/SML configurations, and document transmission standards. Security, Compliance & Architecture ----------------------------------- * Implement authentication, encryption, digital signatures, certificate management, and secure transmission controls. Collaboration & Support ----------------------- * Partner with Finance, Tax, Accounting, Compliance, ERP, and Technology stakeholders. * Provide production support, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical leadership. * Work closely with cross-functional teams across EMEA and US regions to drive global initiatives. * Demonstrate flexibility to work in rotational shifts and overlapping business hours to support stakeholders across EMEA and US time zones. **What We Are Looking For:** * 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Systems Integration, and Enterprise Application Development. * Hands-on experience with Avalara E-Invoicing, Peppol, or similar global e-invoicing platforms. * Strong experience integrating Workday Financials and ERP systems with tax and compliance platforms. * Expertise in REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML, UBL, and electronic document exchange standards. * Experience with Boomi, MuleSoft, Workday Studio, Azure Integration Services, or similar middleware technologies. * Strong understanding of Peppol Network Architecture, Access Points, SMP/SML, and e-document transmission protocols. * Experience designing end-to-end invoice processing workflows. * Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and global cross-functional teams. * Strong understanding of security, encryption, authentication, digital signatures, and compliance requirements. * Knowledge of EU ViDA, Peppol, KSeF, SDI, SII, and other e-invoicing regulations. * Experience working with globally distributed teams across EMEA and US regions. * Must be comfortable working with cross-functional teams across EMEA and US time zones and demonstrate flexibility to work in shifts based on business and project needs. **Our Values** If you want to know the heart of a company, take a look at their values.
