Job Summary ----------- **Summary:** The “**Legal Counsel**” will be based in **Flex Bukit Minyak, Penang** To provide legal counsel advice, attend labor litigation process, follow the Corporate policies/ procedures, and eliminate any liability and legal risk for the company.   **Responsibilities:** * Counsel internal clients on commercial legal matters. * Manage and control all labor lawsuits and disputes. * Coordinate with external legal labor law firms, providing proper and efficient feedback to our internal customers regarding the status of every case. * Participate and attend labor litigation process in front of the labor court to obtain the proper settlement. * Support contract structuring, negotiation, and risk allocation to ensure appropriately balanced commercial, legal, and operational outcomes. * Identify, assess, and mitigate key risks in commercial engagements to protect the company’s financial and operational interests * Manage and oversee labor disputes and litigation, including interactions with external counsel and labor authorities * Coordinate with external labor law firms to ensure effective case handling and timely communication to internal stakeholders. * Participate in or support labor court proceedings and settlement discussions, ensuring outcomes align with company risk tolerance and legal strategy. **Qualifications:** * Typically requires a professional graduate degree in law or equivalent experience and training and a Licensed Attorney * Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience. * Demonstrates strong technical contract drafting and negotiation capabilities, with proven experience supporting complex customer-facing and procurement agreements within a manufacturing or related industry. * Brings a solid understanding of commercial risk allocation and operational realities, combined with effective interpersonal, stakeholder management, and communication skills to influence both internal and external counterparts. * Possesses working knowledge of labor and employment matters and the ability to address related risks in a practical, business-oriented manner. *  Demonstrates deep expertise across multiple legal and commercial areas, with a comprehensive understanding of the company’s business model, manufacturing operations, and strategic priorities. * Demonstrates a strong awareness of emerging AI technologies and a clear commitment to continuously developing their AI-related skills to enhance legal service delivery and commercial decision-making. * Demonstrates the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory frameworks and legal documentation, and effectively respond to detailed inquiries from regulatory authorities. * Demonstrates the ability to communicate complex legal and commercial matters to senior management in a clear, concise, and impactful manner. **What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:** * Full range of medical benefits, dental, vision * Life Insurance * Paid Time Off * Allowances & Bonuses\* AA07 Job Category ------------ Legal Required Skills: Optional Skills: Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
