Licensed Practical Nurse - Med Surg

**The below opportunity is a travel assignment that has opportunities in Auburn, Buffalo, Rochester, Clifton Springs, and Geneva, NY. Depending on the travel assignment you are interested in, there will be a radius rule that must be meet to qualify, which can be between 50 to 75 miles.** Workfit Staffing is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to be responsible for providing direct patient care, usually under the direction of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with established plans. The Licensed Practical Nurse is a key member of the care delivery team. The Licensed Practical Nurse communicates the needs of the patient and the team; collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, takes direction from the RN and delegates appropriately to the other members of the team. **The Complex Care Medical-Surgical Unit** is a 39-bed acute medical telemetry unit caring for a wide range of patients, including those with medical-surgical needs, orthopedic overflow, and ED holds. The unit supports both medically complex patients and those preparing for safe discharge. This unit is a great fit for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity settings that require strong clinical judgment and collaboration. **Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** * Patient Care & Service - Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; perform various treatment procedures; provide physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; supervise assigned team members. * Medication Administration & Reporting - Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal from/to appropriate staff as per departmental protocols. * Documentation - Ensure concise, pertinent and complete documentation using computerized medical record process. * Preparation - Ensure clinical areas are properly supplied and exam rooms are available and stocked. **Qualifications:** * Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or equivalent required. * Current licensure in State of New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse. * Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills highly desired. * **At least 6 months LPN experience preferred** * BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA) **Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Med Surg (M/S)** **Pay Rate:** $30.00 to $35.00 an hour. **Shift:** All Shifts Available **Contract Length:** 13 weeks **Start Date:** ASAP ** #P2**
