**Job Description:**
This rowill issue licenses and permits to qualified applicants.
### Examples of Duties:
* Questions applicants to obtain information such as name, address, and age, and records data on prescribed forms.
* Evaluates information obtained to determine applicant qualification for licensure.
* Contacts customers if there are any problems during the permitting and licensing process.
* Responds to contractors inquires about permissions granted by Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation licensure.
* Responds to inquiries regarding permit requirements and processes.
* Collects prescribed fees, including contacting delinquent accounts.
* Maintains files and logs of permits issued and provides statistical information on permits.
* Create reports to identify delinquent accounts.
* Creates and updates department applications and forms.
* Prepares certificates of occupancy.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
### Basic Qualifications:
* Associate’s degree (AA/AS); and six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel (including the ability to create spreadsheets using formulas).
* Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute by touch.
### Other Necessary Requirements:
* May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
* In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs.
