Logistics Operations Support

This role is critical in converting monthly trade flow requirements into optimized, cost-effective transport plans that support LAI’s margin objectives. The successful candidate will be based in DRC **Responsibilities** * Manage local trucking business in Kolwezi for Cu going to the warehouse for rail transport to Lobito, and sulphur going the other way * Currently at > 30,000 MT per month with 8 LSPs, and forecast to double by year end * Plan for uplift between LSPs and forecast and report the plan to the team and customers • Daily tracking and reporting showing progress * Identify any areas of shortfall and inform + propose solutions * Follow up with mines for loading plans and release of documents * Ensuring warehouse plans are aligned with Train plans **Experience and Qualifications** * Tertiary Degree * 5+ years of experience in commodities trading or similar * fast-paced trading environment Knowledge of multimodal transport (road, rail,) Familiarity with in-transit warehouse operations * Strong Logistics Operations skill set. **Competencies** * Strategic thinking and problem-solving * abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Excellente communication and stakeholder management skills * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Commercial acumen and cost optimization mindset - - **Key Relationships** Internal: Regional Traders, Execution Team, Logistics Coordinators, Trade Support teams, Trade Operations teams External: Freight Forwarders; LSPs
