Logistics Transportation Coordinator

**Job Summary:** The Logistics / Transportation Coordinator is responsible for managing the coordination, booking and overall execution of transportation lanes. **Core Duties** * Coordinate with warehouse, sales and support teams to ensure outbound / inbound freight is properly bid and correct carriers are being selected based on cost and customer expectations. * Optimize transport planning in the most efficient way for customers and internal stakeholders. * Provide analysis and recommendations specific to transportation spend. * Generate and maintain relationships, including rate negotiations, with existing and new 3rd party carriers. * Review vendor bookings and provide approval or rejection of bookings based on operational and financial impact. * Champion continuous improvement projects to reduce overall freight spend. * Assist with the development of international shipping documentation and provide guidance on export compliance requirements as needed. **Basic Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2+ years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience * Results-driven with a keen ability to make sound decisions. * Microsoft Office knowledge required. * Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed. * Ability to lift 40 lbs.
