Maintenance Apprentice - Level 1

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing! _We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business._ **SUMMARY:**   The Maintenance Apprentice is responsible for assisting the maintenance department with repairing and maintaining the machinery, equipment, and facilities. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include, but are not limited to, the following: * Assist the maintenance techs engaged in installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance in the assigned area. * Dismantle machinery or equipment using common hand, power, and industrial tools to examine parts for defects and repair or replacement. * Lock out / tag out certification. * Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders/requests and checklists. * Maintain clean and organized work area. * Special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** This position will not have supervisory responsibility. **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE** * **Required** * High school diploma or equivalent * Basic tools to perform the above tasks * Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools * **Preferred** * Experience in machine maintenance (as helper), building maintenance, preventative maintenance and/or basic electrical _George’s is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
