Job Summary ----------- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an **Equipment Maintenance Engineer (Test)** located in **Jiading** Shanghai. _**For Electrical:**_  Maintains and troubleshoots in-circuit and functional testers, associated test fixtures, stress chambers and chamber racks to ensure manufacturing test equipment is on-line. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Equipment Maintenance Engineer role involves… **What a typical day looks like:** * Through troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism. * Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner. * Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules. * Performs calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules. * Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment. * Researches and implements corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms. * Records times and problems in equipment logs. * Provides daily equipment functioning activity information. * Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate and calibrate other instruments and test equipment. * Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects. * Aligns repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry. * Devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations. * Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment. * May require travel to other Flex sites or equipment vendors' locations. * Highest level may perform both software and hardware maintenance. * Allocating work to a team of fitters. * Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate. * Fitting new parts. * Carrying out quality inspections. * Acknowledging immediately to equipment breakdowns. * Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed. * Keeping production managers informed of progress. * Organizing teams or unipersonal to make sure that 24-hour cover is available. * Working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computerized systems **The experience we’re looking to add to our team:** * Typically requires an associate  degree or above in related field, military technical training or equivalent education and training. * Preferable major is electronic and/or mechanical engineering. * Typically requires 5 years of related experience. * 2-3 years working experience in production with electronic products knowledge of electrical instruments i.e. tests instruments and fixtures within electronic production. * Good IT knowledge, MS office skills. * Good skill in reading, writing English, speaking English will be a plus. **What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:** * Social Insurance * Life Insurance * Paid Time Off Job Category ------------ Operations Required Skills: Optional Skills: Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
