Maintenance Mechanic

NALCO Water, an Ecolab Company, is seeking a Mechanic to join the Logistics Maintenance team in **Garyville, LA.**  You’ll be responsible for providing maintenance on our fleet crew delivery equipment. As a mechanic, you will safely perform maintenance on all delivery vehicles and perform field repairs as needed. In addition, you will maintain all maintenance records, and assist in any emergency situations as the mechanical knowledge on the team.     **What's in it For You:** * Pay: $29 - $31/hr Average * You will join a growing company offering competitive pay and benefits including Day 1: medical, dental, vision, matching 401K, company paid pension, and more! * Access to best in class resources, tools, and technology * Opportunity for a long term, advanced career path * A culture that values safety first, including training and personal protection **What You Will Do:** * Servicing all types of delivery trucks or vehicles * Inspect all vehicles once a month * Perform scheduled maintenance on all delivery vehicles * Perform field repairs as needed * Maintain Ecolab policy inspection maintenance records * Keeps current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills * Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment * Assist in any emergency situation that may need mechanical knowledge **Minimum Qualifications:** * 2 years diesel mechanic experience * Minimum high school graduate or GED * Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record (3 years) * All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English * Basic computer knowledge * Immigration sponsorship is not offered for this role​ * Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. **Preferred Qualifications:** * 5 years diesel mechanic experience * Working knowledge of Davey Tool and JPro * Knowledge of vehicle electrical, hydraulic, and chassis systems * Have certifications in brake, CVSA, and A/C systems * Knowledge of use of diagnostic software (ADOC, INSITE) * Experience working on hydraulic pumps and PTO * Awareness of chemical safety and the measures to take in the event of skin contact or spill * Have own hand tools * Not Required: Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), issued by the state in which the candidate resides As a trusted partner, your customers will rely on you for their success.  Nalco Water is committed to seeing you succeed and provides innovative training programs to ensure you’re prepared to solve any customer problem.  The world’s leading provider of water treatment and process improvements, Nalco Water partners with customers who seek innovative solutions for water and resource constraints.
