Maintenance Trainee

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.   **What You'll Be Doing** * Assist with routine maintenance and repair of plant equipment and machinery on night shift, 4:30pm-4:30am * Fuel equipment, put DEF, check speed reducers, change shaker oil etc. * Learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems under supervision * Support preventative maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency * Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards * Participate in training programs to build technical skills and knowledge   **What Are We Looking For** * Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn * Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment * Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety * Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in maintenance * Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to changing priorities   **Conditions of Employment** * Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check * Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing   **Work Environment** * Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level   **What We Offer** * $26.90 per hour +$0.50 Shift differential * Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension * Union paid vacation, sick leave and holidays Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / Disabled
