Manager Landscaping

Must have strong leadership skills, proven experience in crew supervision, and a solid background in irrigation systems, plant health care, and land management. A customer-service mindset and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members is essential. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**: * Supervise and lead a team of grounds crew members in daily landscaping and maintenance tasks * Develop and manage a routine schedule for mowing, trimming, irrigation, fertilization, pruning, mulching, and seasonal clean-up * Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems to ensure optimal functionality * Monitor plant, turf, and tree health; apply or coordinate pest and disease control treatments as needed * Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding grounds-related needs or concerns * Source and procure landscaping materials (mulch, plants, tools, etc.) within budget * Maintain and manage landscaping equipment, ensuring all tools are safe, serviced, and accounted for * Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies * Assist with long-term landscape planning and improvement projects * Provide training, performance feedback, and leadership to crew members **Supervisory Responsibilities:** Supervise and lead a team of grounds crew members **Education and/or experience:** * Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of experience managing a landscape/grounds crew * Strong background in irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and grounds maintenance * Proven ability to manage labor, schedules, and landscape material procurement * Excellent communication and leadership skills * Customer-service oriented with a professional demeanor * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record * Ability to work outdoors year-round and perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, equipment operation, etc.) **Preferred:** * Bilingual preferred _George’s is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
