Job Summary ----------- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a **Manufacturing Engineer”** will be based in **Tijuana**, reporting to **Manufacturing Engineer Manager**. Reporting to the **Manufacturing Engineer Manager**, **Manufacturing Engineer** role is to Plan, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support maintenance of manufacturing methods by performing the following duties in the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle. **What a typical day looks like:** * Understand manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies and techniques * Designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters. * Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. * Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root-causes of equipment failures and develop hands-on maintenance skills Work with other engineering stakeholders and customers on problem solving and continuous improvement to the design of equipment and products and may develop corrective and preventive action plans * May be involved in development and and update of PFMEA for new products * May participate in control plan development * Write and update work instructions and other documents (e.g. specifications, procedures,…) * Analyzes and  designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. * Confers with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. * Coordinates with customers to determine product specifications and design changes and responds to customer request. * Provides information for management decisions from a technical and technical cost perspective. * Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. * Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential **The experience we’re looking to add to our team:** * Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience and training. * Able to run and explain simulations. * Impacts immediate (daily or weekly) operations of the team or functional area. Executes and may provide input to functional processes or technologies. Assists in achieving section/sub-function objectives for a functional area. Demonstrates commitment to implement initiatives. * Exercises independent judgment within defined procedures and practices to achieve objectives; may make decisions absent management supervision using broad guidelines. * Normally receives general instructions on routine work but can work independently, and in some cases may supervise/ oversee others. Identifies own development needs and works toward them.
