Mechanical Design Engineer

**JBT Marel** is looking for a **Mechanical Engineer** to join our engineering team in **Helsingborg**, **Sweden,** where advanced industrial food processing equipment is designed, built, and tested under one roof. This is a hands-on engineering role where your designs don’t stay on a screen — they become real machines on the shop floor.  You’ll be part of a collaborative team of around **35 engineers**, working closely with production, testing, and suppliers. If you enjoy customer-specific design, technical problem-solving, and taking ownership of your projects, this is an environment where you can grow and make a tangible impact.  **What you’ll be doing**  * Lead mechanical design activities for both small and large customer projects  * Design and adapt large-scale industrial machinery to customer requirements using 3D CAD  * Troubleshoot technical issues and respond to engineering questions from customers and suppliers  * Drive product improvements and contribute to R&D and innovation initiatives  * Collaborate closely with engineering, production, testing, and supplier teams  * Take ownership of project progress by proactively gathering information and coordinating internally  * Support continuous improvement across mechanical design standards and solutions  **About you**  You’re a practical, solution-oriented engineer who enjoys seeing ideas turn into working equipment.
