Mechanical Technician

**Role and Responsibilities** * Perform basic job mechanical assembly functions as directed by Shift Lead or Supervisor safely and efficiently * Follow Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions exactly as written to produce a quality product * Assemble electrical and mechanical assemblies * Will be responsible for the quality of work, and workmanship standards * Will be responsible for entering failure reports to improve quality * Will be required to work with engineering to take conceptual design to physical layout * Will work with system test group to trouble shoot assemblies and rework materials in order to meet system requirements * Must perform hand-over-hand sub-system quality checks **Skills and Experience:** * Must demonstrate safe working conditions * Must be familiar with the theory and operation of mechanical components such as blowers, pumps, fans, valves, flow meters, and pressure regulators * Wiring and electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus * Must be able to read engineering drawings, and some schematics * Must work at cross functional levels to solve problems and recommend appropriate solutions. * HS diploma or technical/military school certification in electronics, electrical, mechanical, or process engineering/technology preferred. * At least 6 – 8 years of related experience.
