Medical Advisor in Specialty

**Job Description:** -------------------- **Your responsibilities:** Responsible for related academic communication which includes establishing and keeping the faithful relation with opinion leaders, academic cooperation with outside experts in the specialty area, i.e., urology, uro-oncology, and gastroenterology, sharing and discussing new data with medical experts, medical expertise training for colleagues. Collaborate with marketing and promotion team closely to provide scientific support at strategy level as well as daily base level, via following activities: **Key responsibilities:** * _Collect and manage medical insight, keep deep insight of therapeutic area_ * _Work out annual medical strategy under supervisor of the line manager_ * _Supervises, develops and manages Phase IV studies and IIT and ensures that proposals are aligned with medical objectives within Ferring locally and globally. This includes the whole process according to SOP's. Ensures project needs are in line with commercial objectives._ * _Catch up therapeutic areas most related medical insight_ * _To communicate with peers sufficiently concern the annual medical strategy plan, reconcile periodically_ * _Base on the medical strategy to work out action plan_ * _Implementation of annual action plan and make sure sufficient communication with stakeholder_ * _Lead medical knowledge management in the company, facilitate all level distillation of most scientific programs_ * _Make consistent effort to find the creative and  innovative channel for various medical trainings_ * _To represent the company as scientific expert to do KOL engagement as well as connection with scientific organization and institute_ * _To cooperate with internal stakeholder to ensure medical compliance and assure all medical communication between company and GCP neutral, balance, without misleading, including promotion and non-promotion material review and approval._ **Required Experience & Competences:** * _Master degree or above major in medical science or clinical medicine. Ph.D. is preferred._ Minimum Experience Requirements * _Minimum 2-3 years related pharmaceutical industry experience in one or more related therapeutic fields in medical affairs._ * _Experienced in formulating and executing clinical studies is preferred_ * _Able to understand complex scientific information and communicate this effectively_ * _Team player with the ability to work under own initiative with a high work capacity and balancing priorities_ * _Business fluency in English and Japanese_ Other Posting information **‘****Technical’ Competencies** * _Scientific acumen: Strong technical skills with demonstrated scientific mastery in prior therapeutic areas of focus_ * _Statistical & data interpretation: Need to understand and interpret data, form own opinion, discuss with KOLs_ * _Medical paper writing: (Limited) need to write medical papers_ * _Strategic acumen: Understanding strategic needs of affiliate organization important for completion of tasks_ **Process Related Core Competencies** * _Focus on scientific exchange: Excellent interpersonal skills; constant interactions with KOLs, physicians and patient organizations and internal stakeholders_ * _Communicating effectively: Excellent communication skills; required to present at congresses, one-on-one meetings_ * _Relating skills: Strong need to build long-term relationship with KOLs and physicians_ * _Process management: High level of planning and organizational skills; self starters that are capable of working effectively with limited oversight_ **Location:** ------------- Ferring Japan
