Medical Laboratory Technician

**Summary** **Job Description:** **Medical Laboratory Technician** **Full time, 5:30pm-7:00am – 3 days a week with weekend rotations** Prepares, performs and records testing procedures in accordance with established criteria as assigned with any or all the sections of the Clinical Laboratory. **Job Duties:** * Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results. * Be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either must correct the problems or immediately notify the coordinator. * Participate in Laboratory Quality program. Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples. * Perform tasks at an acceptable pace to ensure the prompt reporting of accurate patient results.
