We invite you to partner with us in our mission to improve mental healthcare. **Job Title:** Mental Health Clinician **Division/Program:** Crisis Residential Unit (Adult Inpatient) **Starting Compensation:** 70000 - 80000 USD Per Year **Working Location:** Merced, CA **Working Hours/Shift:** Sunday-Wednesday 830am-7pm (4 day / 10 hour work schedule). **Why Join Our Team?**  * **Competitive Compensation**: Offering a salary that matches your skills and experience. * **Generous Time Off**: Enjoy ample vacation and holiday pay. * **Comprehensive Benefits Package**: * * Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage. * Additional voluntary benefits to support your lifestyle. * **Professional Growth Opportunities**: * * On-the-job training with access to paid CEU opportunities. * Career development programs designed to help you grow. * Supervision for BBS hours for AMFT, ACSW, and APCC professionals (where applicable). **Employee Recognition & Rewards**: A culture that celebrates and rewards your hard work and dedication **This role is eligible for commuter benefits: Employees who commute over 20 miles one way may receive a monthly stipend:** * $200 per month for full‑time staff * $100 per month for part‑time staff **What you bring to SBHG:** **Education:** * Master’s degree in social work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited college or university. **Experience:** * At least one (1) year of direct service experience in a mental health setting (relevant student internship or practicum hours may be substituted). * Experience in an inpatient therapy setting is preferred. **Licensure Requirements:** * Mental Health Specialist II: Active registration with the BBS as an Associate (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC). * Mental Health Specialist III: Active California licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC. **How you will make a difference** * Prepares a comprehensive written psychosocial evaluation and assessment on assigned clients, in addition to an intake note, daily progress notes, summary notes (as may be required) and a discharge summary. * Responsible for assessing client’s readiness for admission and coordination planning with treatment team, the client’s case managers, and transferring facilities * Responsible for assessing client’s readiness for discharge and coordination planning with treatment team; working with case managers to effect appropriate referrals for placement, case management and aftercare services; coordinates benefits (Medi-Cal) with Business Office personnel; and maintains knowledge of community resources. * Provides individual group therapy to clients on a weekly basis and as needed based on the needs of the clients * Actively participates in treatment team meetings and is responsible for working with other disciplines to develop a coordinated treatment plan for assigned clients. * Leads or co-leads therapeutic groups. **Division/Program Overview:** * 24/7 inpatient voluntary program * 16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59) * Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services * Pre-vocational or vocational counseling * Medication evaluation and support services **Learn more about SBHG at**: [https://www.starsinc.com/stars-inc/](https://www.starsinc.com/stars-inc/) **For Additional Information:** [email protected]
