We offer:** * **Full time work with stable hours -** Family owned business * Weekly paychecks - **Get paid every Thursday!** * **Bonuses** \- sign on bonus, quarterly performance bonuses, referral bonuses, profit sharing bonus * **Full Benefits package** - medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match up to 7%, all starting **within 31 days** * **Pride - we make products that build, feed & defend America!** * Paid vacation time + 10 company holidays * All uniforms & PPE provided - yes, even your steel-toe boots! * Our culture - **we prioritize safety**, teamwork, trust, and continuous improvement * **Growth opportunities** - Tuition reimbursement, apprenticeship programs, professional development, GED program * Fun team events like family picnics & holiday parties * Discount programs - cell phones, travel, automotive, and more! **What you would do:** * Transport molten iron via forklift (of all sizes), wheeled containers, or by carrying from holding vessels to/from bar lines and melt deck. * Sample molten iron for temperature and composition within tolerances. * Support team with tapping, slagging, and chipping operations. * Maintain production schedules and communicate effectively. * Add various alloys to molten iron per work order instructions. * Clean molten iron from used ladles. * Communicate progress to other shifts verbally or in writing. * Manage time to deliver molten iron to bar lines and melt deck at appropriate intervals. * Recognize abnormalities with molten iron and equipment and report findings to Lead and/or Maintenance team members. * Work effectively in teams within and outside the department.. **Physical aspects of the role:** * Frequent foot use, lifting up to 20 lbs, hand use, sitting, and standing. * Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling, reaching, complex neck/spinal motion, and walking. * Minimal carrying, climbing, lifting up to 70 lbs, and below waist level work. **What you bring:** * High School Diploma or GED equivalent (GEDWorks program eligible). * Ability to read and understand instructions. * Ability to perform basic math. * Ability to read thermometers and record data. **Nice to have's:** * Manufacturing experience in an industrial setting. * Forklift operation experience. Charter Casting is formerly Charter Dura-Bar The entry hourly rate for this position is $24.25 per hour. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on various factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. Compensation decisions are tailored to the unique circumstances of each position and candidate.
