Mold Equipment Engineer

**Job Profile** EQUIPMENT ENGINEER **Job Description** The Equipment Engineer is responsible for innovation and improvement in our injection molding. This is a hands-on position that works collaboratively with our team to define and develop safe and effective manufacturing process methods, parameters, and procedures, maintenance and preventive maintenance. Troubleshoots equipment/process problems with logical engineering and scientific practice. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** * Performs complex research and analysis tasks to determine feasibility of design. * Lead a group of equipment techs to perform daily machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance * Work with MFG and process team on OEE, MTBA, MTBF and Downtime Improvement * Work on machine continuous improvement plan to improve quality performance and yield improvement * Involved in the selection of the appropriate and cost-effective manufacturing engineering tools and machine * Implements appropriate statistical process controls on key input and process variables. * Provides technical assistance to manufacturing to implement new technology. * Responsible for formulating technical standards for plastic injection molding process, improvement of production process, improvement of product performance and structure, including the compilation of process instructions * Follows existing documentation practices and continuously looks for improvements. * Work closely with multiple teams, come up with Root cause analysis and improvement plans * Operates under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment. * Demonstrates understanding, support and consistent application of our Vision, Mission and Core Values. * Other duties as assigned. * Additional Job Description (for internal candidate view only) **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** * Must have ability to work in a team environment with other departments such as Production / Quality / Equipment and others. * Ability to analyze situations and determine logical and reasonable solutions. * Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal with team members and all levels of the organization. * Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. * Proven project and time management skills; strong knowledge of mold set-up process. * Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Advanced Microsoft Excel. * Must have a high level of attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills. * Ability to promote continuous change priorities while achieving desired results. * Demonstrated ability to achieve set goals on time.
