**Summary** **Job Description:** **Monitor Tech - Central Monitoring** **Part-Time 7p - 7a** **Will cross-train and work as both a Nursing Assistant and Unit Secretary in the Progressive Care Unit.** The Monitor Tech monitors and interprets telemetry patient’s heart status and notifies nursing staff and providers of any dysrhythmias or abnormal findings and documents such in electronic medical record. * Verifies and creates snippets each shift, for all inpatient admissions, for any changes in patient rhythm, and for emergency situations, pre, during and post events. * Performs clerical duties as related to admissions, discharges and transfers within the telemetry monitoring system. * Admits patient to system using correct patient information in correct format. * Sends and receives telemetry monitors in-house via pneumatic tube system. * Copies and assembles necessary paperwork for in-house and external patient transfers related to telemetry monitoring **Requirements:** * High school diploma or equivalent (GED). * Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire. * Successful completion of basic arrhythmia course required within 3 months of hire. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Monitor Tech certification preferred. **Benefits:** * ​Tuition Assistance reimbursement program  * Paid Time Off available for use upon hire  * Company paid Maternity and Paternity Leave * Bereavement Leave (includes pets)  * Employee Assistance Program * Retirement plans with company match ### _If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!_ ### Baptist Health is an _Equal Employment Opportunity_ employer.
