Network Engineer

We will be accepting applications through August 28, 2026 or until filled. \--- --- --- As a Gogo **Network Engineer**, you will join a team that designs, develops, and deploys the global ground-based network infrastructure that connects aircraft and supports products and services for customers and internal stakeholders. You will help deliver reliable 4G LTE, 5G, and satellite inflight experiences by building scalable network solutions and collaborating across engineering, operations, and business teams.  COME ON BOARD THE GOGO NETWORK ENGINEERING TEAM! **How will you make a difference?** * Implement the features and functionality of Gogo’s network & systems infrastructure  * Collaborate with other business units to meet a common goal  * Build solutions based on business requirements  * Track project tasks, provide status updates, and ensure assigned work is completed on schedule  * Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues  * Contribute to process improvements by researching, introducing, and adopting tools that improve reliability, automation, and operational efficiency  * Guide implementation of best practices for system design/development  * Contribute to a healthy, collaborative team environment through clear communication, ownership, and a strong work ethic  * Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and an on-call rotation to support the reliability and availability of critical production systems  **Qualifications**  * Bachelor's Degree in **Engineering**, **Computer Science**, or equivalent experience  * 2-4 years in **telecommunications**, **service provider**, or **information technology** environments  * Experience working in a **tiered support environment**, including **Tier** **2** and **Tier 3** support  **Required Skills, Experience and Talents**  * Understanding of **Layer 2** and **Layer 3** networking  * Has worked with, e.g **network services**. **DNS**, **DHCP**, **AAA**, **TACACS**, etc.  * Skilled with **Linux** administration  * Knowledge of **virtualization**, e.g. **VMWare** **ESXi**, **KVM**, **Docker**, **Kubernetes**, etc.  * Experience with **Python** or shell scripting  **Desirable Skills, Experience and Talents**  * Experience with cloud service providers, including AWS and Azure  * Has worked with Cisco VxLAN (Nexus)  * Skilled with Ansible and/or Puppet  * Exposure to Git workflows, principles, and best practices  * Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools, including Grafana, Prometheus, Fluent, etc.  * Demonstrated passion for the open-source ecosystem **Equal Pay Disclosure(s)** **Base Pay**: 88,000.00 - 110,000.00 USD Annual **Target Annual Short-Term Incentive**: Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay) **Eligible for Incentive Stock Program**: Yes **Benefits**: Gogo offers competitive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage with plans that can fit each employee’s needs.
