**Position Title:** ------------------- Neurophysiology Tech I **Department:** --------------- Neurophysiology **Job Description:** -------------------- * Job Description **General Summary**  Under direct supervision, assists in the performance of a variety of Neurophysiology procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and brain disorders.  **Essential Responsibilities**  _Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position._  * Records and identifies various Neurophysiology data in various settings.  * After supervised orientation: obtains patient history, attaches patient electrodes and operates Neurophysiology equipment, during operation of equipment observe studies, analyzes wave graphs, makes documentations to indicate disorders, artifact, and responsible for settings adjustments.  * Cares for all age groups, sets-up and prepares patients for Neurophysiology studies, completes post study paperwork used to maintain patients files. Adheres to hospital / departmental guidelines and judgment during patient care, attends and participates in educational, departmental, and required meetings.  * Observes Neurophysiology data, and is willing to acquire new skills under direction of physicians, Nurse practitioner, manager, and technologists, including not limited to Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.  * Participates in maintaining equipment and reports needed repairs to manager.
