Nursing Assistant

**Summary** **Job Description:** **Nursing Assistant - 5th Floor Surgical Telemetry** **Part-Time 7p - 7a** The Nursing Assistant performs designated tasks in the provision of age-appropriate care for patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. * Obtains and documents reported height and weighs patient on admission and documents. * Turns and positions patients every 2 hours as indicated, using proper body mechanics. * Assists and promotes activity, ambulation, up in chair and other activities as ordered. * Assists patients with personal hygiene, including as showering, bathing, shaving, shampooing, perianal-care, catheter care and oral care. * Takes and records vital signs accurately within established time frame. * Consistently performs hourly rounds to ensure patient safety and promote customer satisfaction. **Requirements:** * High school diploma or equivalent (GED). * Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.  **Preferred Qualifications:** * Certified Nursing License (CNA) preferred. * Six months experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred. ​ **Benefits:** * ​Tuition Assistance reimbursement program  * Paid Time Off available for use upon hire  * Company paid Maternity and Paternity Leave * Bereavement Leave (includes pets)  * Employee Assistance Program * Retirement plans with company match ### _If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!_ ### Baptist Health is an _Equal Employment Opportunity_ employer.
